Put the spotlights on your route...
Which route deserves the honorary title Cycle Route of the Year 2024? You can register a route for this election until the first of June 2023.
Please note: to give the jury more opportunity to test routes in good weather, the application deadline has been moved forward (from September to June).
Hicle will announce the winner at the 2024 "Fiets en Wandelbeurs" (Hike & Bike Xperience) in the Netherlands.

Spin-off Route of the Year
The nominated routes, and certainly the winner, can count on a lot of publicity in the media. In the run-up to the new season, all eyes are on the Fiets en Wandelbeurs and the presentation of new routes. We reach approximately 1,600 press contacts via press releases. In addition, we present nominated routes in our social media channels and on the websites of the fairs.
These routes will benefit from the spin-off of this election for years to come. This can be seen in the increasing numbers of cyclists who are going to ride such a route.

Cycle Route of the Year 2024
Routes all over the world are eligible for the Cycle Route of the Year. This concerns new or recently radically changed routes. An expert jury, consisting of three experienced cycling journalists, nominates a number of routes and cycles the entire route. All routes are assessed according to a large number of criteria. Read these criteria first before registering a route. The bicycle jury will announce the winner at the Fiets en Wandelbeurs in the Netherlands.
