Record edition 2020 in Flanders Expo

The combination of E-bike Challenge, Fiets en Wandelbeurs and Mount Expo in Ghent attracted a record number of 16,605 visitors in 2020. For two days, Flanders Expo was the focal point for cycling, hiking and outdoor loving Flanders.

Right from the opening on Saturday, the aisles filled up quickly. At the E-bike Challenge, 36 brands presented their latest models during this record edition. There was every opportunity to test them on large test tracks, and the visitors made good use of it. The speed pedelecers had a fast lane on the track on which they could reach the top speed of 45 km/h.

Record edition with 14,000 test rides

It was also busy on the mountain bike track: young and old tested their skills on the obstacles and the bicycle bridge. In total, on all the tracks, almost 14,000 test rides were registered. Cycling icon Eddy Planckaert was a special guest of the Challenge on Saturday: dozens of visitors seized the opportunity to take a selfie with their cycling hero.
